For Mother’s Day, I had the opportunity to work as a live illustrator for Tiffany & Co. at their Berlin store, transforming personal memories into custom watercolor illustrations. The event centered around specially designed “Love Maps”—hand-drawn compositions that bring to life the most important milestones of a shared story.
The stages of a relationship captured in an illustration
Together with the visitors, I talked about special moments in their lives: where they first met, their first trip together, a marriage proposal, or other memories that have shaped their relationship. From these stories, delicate watercolor illustrations were created on the spot, blending architecture, symbols, and personal details into a completely unique visual map. Each motif was one-of-a-kind and told a couple’s story in a poetic and deeply personal way.

Alternatively, couples or parents with their children could have me create traditional portraits of them. Using delicate lines, a limited color palette, and spontaneous brushstrokes, I created expressive illustrations that captured the moment and served as lasting mementos of the guests’ visit to Tiffany & Co.
A creative process with an artisanal character
What I found particularly appealing was the direct interaction with people and their stories. Live illustration became a collaborative creative process in which personal narratives were transformed into unique works of art in just a few minutes. In this way, the event combined the craftsmanship of analog illustration with the emotional power of shared memories, creating a personal brand experience that endures long after the moment has passed.
