In the summer of 2023, I was commissioned by the 5-star Hotel Post Lech am Arlberg to create an exclusive series of illustrations that would highlight the historic hotel and its staff. The goal of the project was to document everyday life at the hotel from an artistic perspective and to shine a light on the people whose dedication shapes the hotel’s unique character.
Custom hotel illustrations with a documentary style
During my stay, I gained insight into all areas of hotel operations—from the kitchen and front-of-house to the front desk and housekeeping. To authentically capture the typical workflows, I photographed the staff as they went about their daily tasks and used these images as the basis for a series of digital illustrations. The result was a collection of vibrant images that reflect both the staff’s personalities and the atmosphere of the hotel.
Illustrations for hotels, hospitality, and brand communication
Hand-drawn illustrations open up new possibilities for hotels and companies to present their brand and corporate culture in a unique way. Instead of traditional photography, a distinctive series of images was created for the Hotel Post Lech that artistically interprets hospitality, craftsmanship, and tradition. The project demonstrates how illustration can become an effective communication tool in the hospitality industry—whether for editorials, marketing materials, social media, or a property’s visual brand identity.
