For Nestlé’s employee magazine “Nestblick,” a series of individual portrait illustrations was created to introduce employees and their respective roles within the company in a personal and modern way. The goal of the project was to give the editorial content a visual identity and to present the people behind the various areas of responsibility in a likable, high-quality visual style.
I used photographs as a starting point, which I digitally adapted into an illustrative style. The focus was not on a photorealistic rendering, but rather on a distinctive representation that combines personality with recognizability. Through the deliberate use of lines, colors, and simplified forms, I created contemporary illustrations that blend harmoniously into the magazine’s editorial design.
Digital portrait illustrations for corporate publishing
Illustrations offer companies a powerful way to present employees in an authentic manner that is also consistent with their brand. Unlike photographs, drawn portraits create a unique visual style and give publications a personal, high-quality look. In corporate publishing in particular, custom illustrations help bring corporate values to life and add emotional depth to editorial content.
Editorial illustration for magazines and corporate communications
Whether it’s an employee magazine, an annual report, or a corporate brochure—editorial illustrations capture attention and strengthen a brand’s visual identity. The project for Nestlé demonstrates how digital portrait illustrations put people front and center while creating a consistent visual style across the entire publication. By combining illustration with corporate communications, timeless visual worlds are created that not only convey information but also evoke an emotional response.
