To launch its new fragrance, Absolus Allegoria, Guerlain hosted an extraordinary evening at the stylish Pink Pepper Restaurant, located within the Steigenberger Hotel in Düsseldorf. In an exclusive setting, invited guests gathered for a special dinner where they not only had the opportunity to experience the new fragrance but also to learn more about its creation, inspiration, and olfactory universe.
The rose as the central element of all illustrations
The entire staging of the evening was centered around the rose and its many nuances—a central element of the fragrance that was reflected in the decor as well as in the outfits and details of the event. To complement this, I created custom-designed sketch papers in advance, featuring floral rose motifs in two different color variations, which later served as the basis for the live illustrations.
Illustration Meets the World of Fragrance
Throughout the evening, I sketched the guests in their outfits, which were tailored to the theme, and captured the event’s unique atmosphere in stylized portraits. The combination of fashion, fragrance, and illustration created an immersive experience, with each sketch becoming a personal memento of this special evening.
The event elegantly combined fragrance, aesthetics, and art—and made live illustration an integral part of Guerlain’s brand presentation.
