At the start of spring, I was a guest live illustrator at the Breuninger store in Nuremberg, where visitors had the opportunity to have their portraits drawn as part of an exclusive shopping event. In a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by live saxophone music and refreshing drinks, I created personalized fashion sketches that artistically captured the start of spring.
Live Illustration for store events and fashion retail
Each illustration was created on-site using watercolor and ink on high-quality DIN A5 paper. A specially designed background of delicate, watercolor-painted cherry blossoms served as a design element, lending the illustrations a light, spring-like feel. The combination of a personal portrait and a seasonal motif created a harmonious overall image and made each drawing a unique keepsake.
Exclusive fashion illustrations as a personalized gift for customers
Once completed, the illustrations were presented in a specially designed folder featuring a cherry blossom pattern that echoed the event’s spring theme. The project demonstrates how live illustration can creatively enhance seasonal campaigns and retail events. Hand-drawn fashion portraits create a personal connection to the brand, encourage interaction with guests, and transform shopping into a special experience that lingers in the memory long after the store visit is over.
