For a BMW M event tour, where the new 3.0 CSL model was presented at a car show on Lake Como, I accompanied the team to the various spots around the event to capture the best moments of the tour in a series of illustrations.
The tour started in Milan, where the invited guests were welcomed at the Radio Rooftop Bar right next to the Hotel Principe di Savoia, where they enjoyed a breathtaking view over the city.
The next day we went to a country estate outside Milan, the Galbusera Bianca. Here, lunch was served Italian-style before the journey continued to Monza, where the BMW 3.0 CSL was presented to all those present for the first time. After a test drive on the race track, the guests were invited to an evening dinner at Milan’s 2-star restaurant Cracco Galleria.
The next day began with a sumptuous brunch at Una Finestra Sul Lago, which is located directly on Lake Como. Here, all the guests were able to fortify themselves before being taken by boat across the picturesque lake to the imposing Villa d’Este, where the BMW 3.0 CSL was presented as part of the Concorso d’Eleganza car show. The eventful trip came to an end with dinner at the Villa d’Este.
In order to capture the best moments of each individual destination, I photographed all the locations in detail in order to make a selection in a second step and then use this selection in a third step as the basis for my illustrations. Each illustration was digitally created and colored by me and now forms the wonderful basis for a visual diary of three unforgettable days in and around Milan.
