On November 16, after a long hiatus, the Bambi Award was presented once again at Bavaria Studios in Munich. Around 800 invited guests celebrated the return of Germany’s most prestigious media award, which was also marking its 75th anniversary. As a live illustrator, I had the privilege of being part of this special evening and creating a very personal memento of the event for the guests.
Live illustration as an exclusive event experience
During the event, guests had the opportunity to have their portraits drawn by me live. I created custom watercolor illustrations on-site in DIN A5 format that captured the guests’ personal styles and the special atmosphere of the evening. Watching the illustrations take shape right before their eyes allowed guests to experience the creative process firsthand and added an extra emotional dimension to the event.
