For an exclusive live illustration event at the Bottega Veneta store in Berlin, I created portraits of guests wearing looks from the brand’s current collection. In the store’s serene, elegantly staged atmosphere, I produced contemporary fashion illustrations that captured the brand’s distinctive character while highlighting the individual style of each guest.

Deliberate use of silhouettes

A stylistic choice tied all the day’s work together: I deliberately chose not to depict faces, focusing instead on silhouettes, body language, and hairstyles. This brought the collection’s signature lines, the materiality of the looks, and the personal charisma of the models into sharp focus, without relying on specific facial features.

Minimalist illustrations for a classic aesthetic

This minimalist approach gave the illustrations a timeless, almost anonymous elegance and left room for interpretation. The drawings thus straddled the line between fashion portraiture and editorial illustration—a tribute to the aesthetic of Bottega Veneta, which is characterized by clarity, understatement, and exceptional craftsmanship.

In just a few minutes, personalized keepsakes were created that captured the special moment of the store visit and subtly highlighted the connection between fashion, personality, and illustration.
